  • Increasing stability and strength to Roll Out Awnings;
  • Reducing damaging & annoying flapping in windy conditions;
  • Increasing Awning fabric tension which reduces water pooling;
  • Adding Walls to Roll Out awnings in a quick and easy manner which results in a wind and waterproof seal between the edge of the roof fabric and the wall.

  1. Anti flap kit seems to work well review by Simon Firth on 12/08/2018

    Took me nearly a month to commission the awning after the fitting done by the friendly people at Clontarf. It simply hasn’t been hot enough.

    It’s a bit fussy to assemble the first time but managed to extend the 4.5 x 3 metre awning in the middle of a 15 knot gust with doing any damage. The permanent marker will come out before I put it away. Marking fore and aft as well as inner and outer on all the bits will make it all easier next time.

    A word for the unwary. The slider nuts for the extension come apart and it would be dead easy to lose any of the four bits. One we found at the far end of one of the inner struts, and the other was in the bottom of the strut bag. The knurled mobs were east to find. Not so easy was the winding handle which I had filed under the mattress. Lots of bad language followed by apologies to the much maligned techies ensued but all good at the end.

    It’s seen one longitudinal 20 knot gust and it certainly works. A light two step ladder is a must for our installation at 3metres. I’ll send a photo under separate cover.
